Biography
Dr Sarah Casey is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at the National Rehabilitation University Hospital (NRH), Dublin, Ireland. At the NRH Sarah provides clinical neuropsychology services to the Brain Injury Programme. She has amassed considerable experience working psychotherapeutically with individuals with ABI. Sarah’s interests also include promoting rights-based rehabilitation, specifically assisted decision-making for adults with acquired brain injury, as well as understanding the role of sleep in optimising cognitive functioning and outcomes in rehabilitation. A former Chair of the Psychological Society of Ireland’s Division of Neuropsychology, Sarah is currently the Division’s representative on the National Clinical Programme in Rehabilitation Medicine’s Working Group. Sarah is collaborating with Division colleagues to develop an Irish training and competency framework for clinical neuropsychology. Sarah teaches on the neuropsychology modules of the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and University College Dublin (UCD) clinical psychology doctoral programmes, as well as on the UCD Master’s in Behavioural Neuroscience. Sarah has been elected to the Council of the Psychological Society of Ireland for 2023.
