Biography

Roberto Llorens, MSc, PhD, is Principal Investigator of the Neurorehabilitation and Brain Research Group at the Institute for Human-Centered Technology Research and a Distinguished Researcher and Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. His research focuses on evaluating and promoting the recovery of brain functions affected by injury, as well as investigating the mechanisms underlying brain processes and consciousness.

He has participated in more than 50 research projects funded through competitive public calls, including European projects, as well as projects supported by private-sector entities. His scientific output includes more than 75 articles published in JCR-indexed journals and over 200 contributions to scientific conferences. He has also organized four international scientific conferences and served on the scientific committees of several others.

His work has been recognized with several awards, including his selection for the Talent Support Program for Researchers, Plan GenT, of the Generalitat Valenciana. His contributions to artificial intelligence and neurorehabilitation have also led to his membership in the Valencian Graduate School and Research Network of Artificial Intelligence and the Board of Governors of the International Brain Injury Association.
