The World Congress on Brain Injury will offer continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, rehabilitation counselors, case managers, and speech-language professionals.

Continuing Education Information
This continuing education activity is provided by AffinityCE and the International Brain Injury Association (IBIA). This activity provides continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, rehabilitation counselors, case managers, and speech language professionals. A statement of participation is available to other attendees.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Review research data and best practices specifying approaches and key components contributing to successful community reintegration after brain injury and assess how this information impacts their services and supports.
• Identify current knowledge and controversies in sports concussion, civilian and military service related mild traumatic brain injury, focusing on assessment and treatment models applicable across the age span in their clinic and community settings.
• Review the advancing psychosocial and peer support interventions in pediatric brain injury and key issues in cognitive rehabilitation
• Examine the use of pharmacological agents that help optimize the recovery of brain-injured
  patients: Opportunities with Sedatives and Psychedelics
• State the integrative approaches and innovative strategies that help with both prevention and recovery of advancing concussion
• Describe the biopsychosocial correlates of recovery from pediatric concussion and measures to monitor young children after TBI
• Discuss the evidence-based approaches to accelerating recovery from concussion in children and youth
• Compare and contrast the latest treatment approaches in aiding proper inpatient rehabilitation in Traumatic Brain Injury
• Explain the neuropsychiatric symptoms following traumatic brain injury in older adults: Application of the Mild Behavioral Impairment Framework

• General Participation Certificate: All other health care professionals completing this continuing education activity will be issued a statement of participation indicating the number of hours of continuing education credit. This may be used for professional education CE credit. Please consult your accrediting organization or licensing board for their acceptance of this CE activity.
• Speech Language Professionals: At the end of this activity, speech-language professionals (SLP) should be able to:

1. Explain how traumatic brain injury (TBI) affects linguistic politeness in workplace communication.
2. Differentiate between the two assessment tools (VET and FAST) used to measure workplace communication, including their distinct purposes in eliciting different types of speech acts.
3. Evaluate the clinical significance of impoliteness tokens in workplace communication, particularly how different types of impoliteness (such as threats, coercion, and sarcasm) may affect workplace integration for individuals with TBI.
4. Identify the various innovative intervention and Implementation Initiatives for greater impact after pediatric ABI
5. Identify resources and evaluate treatment options and return to education guidelines for young patients with acquired brain injury
6. Identify strategies to utilize and share the Pediatric and Adult Living Guidelines for Concussion care to improve care and outcomes for children, adolescents, and adults with concussion.
7. Review case studies on taking necessary action for children with TBI that need clinical and neurological stabilization, improved auditory comprehension, speech output, reading and writing in TBI patients.
8. Describe the process of using the physical abilities and mobility scale to demonstrate the functional change after pediatric acquired brain injury.
9. Describe how services can improve the information, training and support families receive about cognitive-communication difficulties following traumatic brain injury.

How to Earn CE Credit
Registration for the conference does not establish an account in the CE Center or automatically provide continuing education credit. You must sign into the CE Center site and evaluate the content of the activity to earn CE credit.

1. If you selected and paid for CE/CME credit, IBIA will send you a private link to access evaluations.
2. Select the activity: The 15th World Congress on Brain Injury
3. On the login page, enter your e-mail address and desired password. Select “I Forgot My Password” if you need to reset the password you set up.
4. Complete, verify, or correct your demographic information and select your profession. You may select multiple professions. Click Continue.
5. Complete the activity evaluation for each session you attended and then click Submit My Evaluation and Proceed. When you have completed the activity evaluation, you can download your CE certificate. Your CE certificate will also be stored here for later retrieval.
6. The website will remain open to claim credit for 14 days after the close of the live conference
7. You can return to the site at any time to view, access your CE records and download your certificate.
